What Does Sewage From Toilet Cleanup Cost?
Typical national toilet sewage cleanup costs range from $2,000 to $10,000. A contained bathroom on hard flooring often costs less than sewage that reaches carpet, wall cavities or several rooms. The plumber charge and later replacement finishes are separate from that mitigation range.
- Small hard-surface bathroom: $2,000 to $4,000. Contaminated water extraction, surface cleaning, sanitizing and targeted drying.
- Bathroom and adjoining room: $4,000 to $7,000. More flooring, baseboards and wall edges need assessment and removal.
- Multiple rooms or deep saturation: $7,000 to $10,000+. Larger tear-out, longer drying and more contaminated contents increase the scope.
- Extended structural drying: $10,000+. A broad footprint or deeply soaked building layers can exceed the usual band.
What changes the price
- Square footage touched by toilet sewage, including areas beyond the doorway
- Amount of carpet, pad, drywall or other porous material that cannot be cleaned
- Whether water entered the subfloor, wall cavities or a lower level
- How long contaminated moisture remained before extraction began
